The Peace and Freedom Organization of Marion has partnered with the Marion Public Library to offer a speech competition over the summer for kids of all ages. Modeled after the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. speech contest, this series gives kids the chance to gain new skills and confidence over the summer. Workshops will be available each Wednesday evening from May 15th through June 19th, and members of the library and Peace and Freedom Organization will be available to assist with research and speech practice. Final speech presentation will be held Saturday, June 22nd at 11am at the library.
