March 2021 Update

MARCH 2021 MarionLibrary.org/MPLUpdates Click here to place your online reserves Director's Note Gary Branson, Executive Director Are you ready to move forward... We are so ready to get back to normal. But what is normal anymore? We know we have created a normal schedule where you can be assured of the days and hours we are open. We know you are feeling a little more comfortable walking into the Library to browse and we thank you for your confidence. Accessing your Library is vital and so is changing, adapting, and expanding during these trying times to best meet the needs of our patrons. We are cautiously starting to brainstorm on ideas of how services, programs, and more will look as we approach a new normal. Adding OPEN hours to SATURDAY We will be changing our open hours on Saturdays starting March 6 . We will be staying open two hours later. Take note that our Saturday hours will now be 10am to 3pm. ZOOM Book Discussion To get started we are planning our first ZOOM Book Discussion on March 16 at 6pm just to get the group together and talk about books they have read this past year. If you are interested in joining that discussion, email programs@MarionLibrary.org for the Zoom link. As always, you can access your Marion Public Library 24/7 t o search and place reserves with pick up at the front desk or waiting just outside the front door for curbside service. ~ ~ R E M I N D E RS ~ ~ We will begin charging fines again on March 1.
