Dec 2022

December 2022 OUR MISSION: The Marion Public Library enhances the quality of life in our community by encouraging reading and the pursuit of lifelong learning. Click here to place your online reserves Director's Note Gary Branson, Executive Director Our favorite reads of 2022. All of our staff members enjoy reading and sharing about what they have read. So don't be afraid to ask them about their most recent reads or about their favorite authors. Two times a month we gather for a Staff Readers Advisory meeting where we share our current reads and a little about the book. Many times, we are challenged as a group to read something out of our normal genera to get a taste of what and why others love what they read. This allows us to discover a new author, series or collection to add to our own reading list. During our most recent Readers Advisory we asked our staff to share their favorite read(s) from 2022. We invite you to peruse the book list below and see how many you can say you have read. Or how many of the books you might put on your 2023 reading list after seeing it was a staff member's favorite. Then, the graph below staff photos shows the top circulations of the year across the collections. Always very interesting to see what was most popular.
