We are offering these classes again to those 60 years of age and older who want to know more about navigating a computer and the Internet; want to figure out how to send an email and retrieve it again; or simply want to write a document and save it. All of these subjects and more will be addressed in our 60+ digital literacy classes designed to guide participants through real- world, hands on learning. Classes will be limited to 10 students with preference given to those who have not already taken the classes. Those registering will sign up to attend 4-weekly classes, (starting January 10) choosing between a morning or afternoon session. Additionally, the Library’s regular programming will offer four related programs to enhance individuals online literacy. This digital learning opportunity is made possible in cooperation with Marion County Council on Aging. Patrons using the legacy app should have been getting messages about the coming end and recommendations to switch to the Libby app for Fire tablets throughout December. On January 6, 2025, the website ohdbks.overdrive.com will be getting an accessibility refresh removing star ratings on title details pages, simplifying the hold notification display, directing users to their Holds page to take action on available items.
