Some classes have filled up quickly, but there are still some openings for those of us who tend to procrastinate. There is no final cutoff for regis- tration, so if there is an open spot in a class of interest, please don’t hesitate to join that class. Signups can be completed at the Library and the full course listing for Spring 2020 can by found here: MarionLibrary.org/ALL S AT U R D A Y , M A R C H 2 1 { 1 - 3 p m } Marion Public Library will once again host this year’s ReadLocal Author Fair on Saturday, March 21 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. The annual event is a unique oppor- tunity for readers to engage with au- thors and the event highlights the talent in our own backyard. It also serves as an excellent networking opportunity for aspiring writers to connect with others who share their passion. This year’s event will feature over 20 authors, many of whom are making their first appearances at this event. Their works span many genres of fiction and nonfiction writing. Books will be avail- able for purchase from participating authors who will be happy to sign cop- ies. The event will run from 1:00 to 3:00 pm with a key- note presentation at 1:00 pm by our Featured Author. Susan Petrone is the author of the upcoming novel The Heebie- Jeebie Girl . She has also written The Super Ladies, Throw Like a Wom- an , and A Body at Rest , which won a bronze medal for regional fiction from the Independent Publisher Book Awards. Her short story, “Monster Jones Wants to Creep You Out” (Conclave, 2010) was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She will discuss writing & publishing at MPL’s ReadLocal Author Fair.
