2024 Summer Reading Adventure!
June 1 through July 31SR Fun

Join us through the summer for programs and activities to support a love of reading and learning!

Kids, teens, and NEW THIS YEAR...Adults can earn prizes by reading in June and July!

Help kids stay engaged and prepare for a brighter tomorrow by reading 20 minutes per day. Explore a world of stories, and imagine your own with your local library! We proudly partner with Let's Read 20, Marion's local initiative to continue reading and fun throughout the summer.

KIDS PROGRAMS
You can pick up your reading logs from the library's kids' area an complete them throughout the summer. Reach different levels to receive prizes and be entered into prize drawings! Kids can complete up to 2 reading logs. Kids must be present to register and pick up prizes. All prizes should be picked up by August 10.

June 3 - Lapsit Baby Time at 10 am
June 5 - Outdoor All-Age Story Time at 10 am
June 6 - Story Time! at 10 am and 11 am
June 8 - Armstrong Air & Space Museum Living on Another World at 11 am

June 13 - Story Time! at 10 am and 11 am

June 17-21 - Robotics Camp ***REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Registration begins May 13*** for Ages 8-11 at 9:30 am

July 16 - Make your own Map! for Ages 11-18 at 3:30 pm

July 22 - An Evening with Mindy McGinnis at 6:30 pm
July 29 - Don't be Board! Table Top and Board Game Exploration for Ages 11-18 at 5:30 pm

ADULT PROGRAMS
Adults ages 18+ may log the books they've read between June 1 and July 31, and enter for the chance to win a prize. Earn an entry by completing a reading log with 3 titles, or by attending any adult program in June and July. Pick up reading logs at the main desk and return completed logs by July 31. Participants may receive a sign-up prize, while supplies last, and have their overdue fines waived. Prizes will be drawn through June and July, with a grand prize drawing at the end of July. Reading more means more chances to win a prize! All prizes should be picked up by August 10.
